Corte Madera-based Blink Inc., a provider of retail professional digital photography, announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Santa Monica-based shopping mall owner, operator and developer Macerich. Plans call for opening a store in Santa Monica this year and additional stores in 2017.

SOLAR

Novato- and Sonoma-based SolarCraft completed a 35-kilowatt solar panel system at Congregation Beth Shalom in Napa. It's designed to reduce the synagogue's carbon footprint while saving thousands in future utility costs.

RETAIL

Crossing the Jordan Shop with Purpose opened its fourth retail store, at 501 44th Street in Santa Rosa. It features “just like new” clothing for women, men and children. Proceeds support the Crossing the Jordan 18-month residential life transformation program, which includes 12 months of intense structure with six months residential aftercare.

NONPROFITS

California Fire Safe Council (CFSC) has awarded the Marin’s Homestead Valley Firewise Committee $94,275 (and received a matching amount from donations of $124,666) to conduct wildfire risk reduction projects. The money comes from the federal government in the form of a grant.

WINE

Sonoma County Vintners revamped its website, SonomaWine.com. In addition to dedicated sections for consumers and members, the site includes a section for the trade that features resources including wine facts, detailed appellation information, industry reports and information about the group’s programs.
