Matt Collins has joined Calix, Inc., (NYSE: CALX) of Petaluma as chief marketing officer. Collins brings more than 20 years experience to the position. The software firm stated Collins joins it from Dun & Bradstreet, where he was senior vice president of global marketing and go-to-market strategy.
Prior to joining D&B, Collins spent over a decade at IBM in senior marketing and strategy roles across IBM’s software, hardware and services businesses.
Collins received his MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
Sarah Scudder is the new president of Procureit5, a Petaluma print-procurement company. She has spent 12 years in the print management industry, most recently as chief growth officer for The Sourcing Group, LLC.
Tyler Pearson, PE, will manage the new Ukiah office of Munselle Civil Engineering & Land Surveying. He joined the firm’s main office in Healdsburg in 2015 with substantial knowledge of permit-processing and design in Sonoma, Marin and Mendocino counties, the firm stated.
The new offices are located at 168 Washington Ave., Suite G.
Miguel Olvera has been hired as the new accounting manager for PEAR Accounting Solutions of Napa. He has been employed with PEAR part time but recently transitioned to the new full-time position.
Olvera, a Napa Valley native, has a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento, with a concentration in finance and international business.
He has worked for Westamerica Bank, JPMorgan Chase and the California Franchise Tax Board.
Kathleen McNichols is the new spa director for The Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa.
“As the first fully underground spa in North America, we embrace our location nestled 40 feet below a hillside vineyard near Napa’s Grape Crusher statue and use it to provide guests with the unique experience of truly being ‘in the heart of the earth,’” McNichols said in a statement.
Nic Jones has joined the Goose & Gander as executive chef of the St. Helena restaurant. A chef, charcutier and certified sommelier, Jones is a Southern California native. Before relocating to the Napa Valley, Jones was the chef de cuisine for Abruzzi Restaurant in Humboldt County.
With 18 years of kitchen experience, Jones worked with David Katz, owner of Sub Rosa Salumeria in St. Helena and spent five years as a chef and charcutier at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch under the helm of executive chef Stephen Barber.
Sergio Morales has been appointed executive chef of the Indian Springs Calistoga’s main dining establishment, Sam’s Social Club.
According to the resort, he started his career in 2000 at Brannan’s Grill in Calistoga, and later was sous chef at Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen. Morales later took the helm at Cook St. Helena, a petite eatery. Once its sister restaurant, Cook Tavern & Pizzeria, opened, Morales was promoted to head chef at both establishments.
Traci L. Carrillo has joined the law firm of Perry Johnson, Anderson, Miller and Moskowitz, LLP. She has 17 years of trial experience and previously served as a deputy district attorney for Riverside and Sonoma counties.
Gonzalo Romo has been hired as a community liaison to represent Redwood Credit Union at nonprofit and community events in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Marin and San Francisco counties, the credit union stated.
