Agilent sees gains in first quarter
February 12th, 2010SANTA ROSA – First-quarter profits for Agilent Technologies’ Electronic Measurement Group, headquartered in Santa Rosa, were $64 million above last year’s, mostly due to restructuring. Revenues were slightly down.
Agilent as a whole saw revenues of $1.21 billion, up 4 percent from the first quarter of last year.

Agilent sells network solutions business to JDSU
February 11th, 2010SANTA ROSA – Today Agilent Technologies announced it will sell its network solutions business to JDS Uniphase for $165 million in cash.
The business group includes Agilent’s network assurance solutions, network protocol test and drive test products, which had revenues of $162 million in 2009. The group employs about 700 workers, with headquarters in Santa Rosa and operations in Colorado, the U.K., Singapore and China.
