Q&A: Chris Thornberg, Beacon Economics: Improvement seen in 2011

Chris Thornberg is founding principal of Beacon Economics, LLC, which has offices in Los Angeles and San Rafael. He is a nationally sought-after forecaster of financial conditions. His firm’s recent prognostications — accelerating GDP growth in the second half of 2011, no double-dip economic or housing industry recessions — have cut against the grain of those of many firms and agencies. He will be the keynote speaker at the Business Journal’s Impact Napa conference on Sept. 1.
