February 1st, 2010Westamerica Bancorporation’s fourth-quarter earnings were $58.9 million, up from $49.9 million for the same quarter the year before. Net income for the year was $121 million, a jump from $59.8 million in 2008.

Circle Bank’s fourth quarter up
January 26th, 2010NOVATO – Circle Bancorp, parent company of Circle Bank, reported a net income of $590,000, up 41 percent compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
The bank reported net income of $1.6 million for the year, down slightly from the $1.7 million in 2008.
In 2009 the bank focused on its SBA lending program and plans to continue to expand the program in 2010.

“Despite an extremely difficult economic environment, we continue to provide services and programs that help our customers, business and consumer, to meet their financial goals,” said Kim Kaselionis, president and chief executive officer of the Bank.
