October 24th, 2011Ian Cauble becomes the world’s top young sommelier. … The National Science Foundation has awarded Sonoma State University’s School of Science and Technology with more than $1 million in grant funding. … McCormick & Company has donated $30,000 to the Culinary Institute of America, funding a scholarship that will be distributed to six Hispanic students in the coming semester. … The Petaluma Educational Foundation is looking for support from the business community for its new “Transforming Education in the Classroom”Initiative, an effort to act on the growing number of grant applicants who see technology as an asset in the classroom.

Top Projects Awards registration closes Friday
November 29th, 2010NORTH BAY — Registration for the Business Journal’s Top Projects Awards reception will close this week. On Dec. 8, 12 North Bay real estate projects and the key industry players who made them possible will be honored at the fifth-annual 2010 Top Projects Awards reception. The event will be at the Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person or $700 for a table of 10, including the company name on the table.
