SOLANO COUNTY — Kaiser Permanente’s Vacaville Medical Center on Thursday was awarded level 2 trauma designation, beating out Fairfield-based NorthBay Healthcare after the Solano County Emergency Medical Services Board accepted a recommendation from the American College of Surgeons.
