Kenwood Vineyards sale canceled

SONOMA VALLEY — F. Korbel & Bros., which makes the Kenwood and Korbel brands, today said it has called off its previously announced sale of the 550,000-case-a-year Kenwood Vineyards brand and winery to New York-based Banfi Vintners.

GUERNEVILLE — F. Korbel & Bros., producer of Korbel sparkling wine, today said it has entered negotiations to sell the half-million-case-a-year Kenwood Vineyards brand and related assets to Banfi Vintners, one of the country’s major wine marketers.
