SANTA ROSA — Umpqua Holdings Corporation is charting an expanded path for growth in California, following Friday’s completed merger with the parent company of Argent Bank and the acquisition of Novato’s Circle Bank in November of 2012.

SANTA ROSA — After more than two years of negotiations with a number of suitors, Santa Rosa-based Redwood Regional Medical Group, one of the most established and largest physician-owned groups in the North Bay, agreed to merge a majority of its operations into St. Joseph Health’s Annadel Medical Group, bringing together two of Sonoma County’s most prominent health care providers.

SANTA ROSA and BENICIA — A Florida-based franchisor of stores that drop off and pick up truck-sized containers from homes and businesses on Friday said it purchased all 21 locations, including in Santa Rosa and Benicia, from its Los Angeles-based largest franchisee.

NAPA — A San Francisco-based commercial real estate investor expanded its North Bay holdings with the purchase of four south Napa wine warehouses with 239,000 square feet of space all together.
“This was the largest transaction that has taken place in this market this year,” a broker of the deal said.

NAPA — Seguin Moreau Napa Cooperage on Friday said it is expanding further into barrel alternatives with the acquisition of Fine Northern Oak, a Wisconsin-based maker of fine-grain American oak chips and staves used to enhance wine inside tanks and older barrels.

The parent companies of Chico-based Tri Counties Bank and Redding-based North Valley Bank, which has three North Bay locations, have agreed to merge into a combined $3.5 billion-in-assets institution in mid-2014.
In the North Bay, North Valley Bank has branch offices in Santa Rosa and Willits and a loan production office in Ukiah. Tri Counties Bank doesn’t have a local presence.
North Valley Bank has made strides in the North Bay in recent years, attracting a number of well-known bankers to its team.
