Regional water recycling program awarded $7.3 million to begin construction
May 13th, 2010The North Bay Water Reuse Authority has been awarded $7.3 million by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) towards the construction of projects that will expand recycled water use in the region. The funds are the first increment of a $25 million federal authorization by Congress in March 2009.

November 16th, 2009NAPA – A new study of existing and planned winery process wastewater disposal in the industrial areas around Napa County Airport recommends Napa Sanitation District keep better tabs on the winery waste stream reaching the Soscol treatment plant and offer a lower-cost, local option for disposal of high-strength production effluent.

Napa Sanitation studies demand for local winery wastewater system
August 24th, 2009NAPA – As the number of wineries locating in southern Napa Valley business parks increases, Napa Sanitation District is studying whether it can offer a more financially attractive option for wineries to dispose of their process wastewater than to have it trucked roughly 35 miles to a large treatment facility in Oakland.
