Group sues Petaluma over approval of Regency shopping center

San Rafael approves Mi Pueblo
September 23rd, 2009SAN RAFAEL — The San Rafael City Council unanimously denied two appeals against a proposed Mi Pueblo Foods Center ethnic-flavored grocery store. The San Jose-based grocer plans to open that location by early next year.
The City Council on Monday voted 5-0 against appeals of the May 20 city Zoning Administrator approval of the 36,000-square-foot store in the former Circuit City building at 330 Bellam Blvd.

Novato Grant Avenue facade program draws 11 applicants

At the Sept. 1 council hearing, several leaders of major businesses in the city advocated opposition to the proposal.

Novato shopping center to get $7 million overhaul
July 10th, 2008NOVATO — The 40-year-old Pacheco Plaza neighborhood shopping center is set to get a $7 million overhaul starting next month to prepare the property for a new anchor tenant when the current anchor, a Safeway grocery store, prepares to relocate in late August to a development on the east side of the highway.
