AltaRock to suspend drilling of Geyers demonstration project
September 2nd, 2009SAUSALITO – AltaRock Energy has suspended the drilling of well E-7, the first well planned as part of its engineered geothermal systems (EGS) demonstration project in the Geysers due to a number of physical difficulties resulting from geologic anomalies in that particular location.

North Bay water, parks projects could get nearly $23 million in federal funds
July 24th, 2009NORTH BAY – Two federal appropriations bills contain $22.75 million for North Bay water and parks projects, including $14.25 million for restoring wetlands at a former Novato air force base, $5.14 million for the dam at Lake Sonoma and $750,000 for upgrading trails and facilities at Fort Baker in Sausalito.
