Napa Valley winegrape harvest begins
August 26th, 2011The 2011 winegrape harvest finally is getting under way in Napa County, as sparkling wine producers start crushing a crop is later and appears to be lighter than normal and even last year’s weather-wearied vintage. Domaine Chandon started bringing in Napa fruit Friday. Mumm Napa and Schramsberg Vineyards plan to do so Monday; Domain Carneros, Wednesday.

October 12th, 2009Aug. 21: The Grand Prix Salute Charity Dinner benefitting the Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities and the Michael Andretti Foundation was held at Andretti Green Winery. / Aug. 18: Schramsberg Vineyards annual blessing of the grapes at the harvest of the first fruit for sparkling wine / Sept. 26: Costeaux French Bakery in Healdsburg won a double gold medal for Walnut Baguette in the Flavored Hearth Style bread category for a total of thirteen medals at Sonoma County’s 2009 Harvest Fair.
