Digilock owner buys AFC, Cisco buildings
February 1, 2010PETALUMA – Electronic keypad maker Digilock will move into two buildings near its subleased Petaluma headquarters and is transferring manufacturing operations from Santa Clara to Sonoma County, the company confirmed. Its current lease on Old Redwood Highway runs out in October of this year.

Tellabs to trim overall workforce by 200
January 26, 2010NAPERVILLE, Ill., PETALUMA — Telecommunications equipment-maker Tellabs Inc., which has 150 employees in Petaluma, said today it will cut 200 jobs over the next several quarters from its overall workforce of 3,000.
A Tellabs spokesman said it was unknown how many of the cuts would be in Petaluma where employment is down significantly from its peak during the telecom boom.

Medical supply giant leases ex-telecom space
June 22, 2009PETALUMA – Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE: TMO), the Massachusetts-based medical supply giant, is consolidating its operations in Petaluma into a former telecom manufacturing space.
