SANTA ROSA — Directors of Zap Jonway (OTC: ZAAP) have been accusing each other of trying to take control of the 19-year-old Santa Rosa-based electric-vehicle company, according to competing filings with federal securities regulators this week.

NOVATO — A senior officer at Circle Bank is one of 10 people alleged to have hidden the “deteriorating condition” of the former United Commercial Bank in San Francisco before it went into receivership in late 2009, according to an enforcement action filed Tuesday from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Bay Area hedge fund manager Larry Goldfarb and with concealing more than $12 million in investment proceeds that he owed investors in his fund.

To be in compliance with the Securities & Exchange Commission when it switches from the United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to the International Financial Reporting Standards, accounting firms are continuing to train their employees in international standards.
