Accounting

John Jones, managing partner of Linkenheimer LLP CPAs & Advisors in Santa Rosa, was elected chairman of Alliott Group Worldwide for a three-year term. He previously served as chairman of Alliott Group North America and was one of the first firms to join the organization.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Napa appointed George Shick complex manager of the firm’s Wealth Management Napa Sierra Complex.  Mr. Shick has been with Morgan Stanley since 2006.

Navigator Wealth Management LLC and sister company Cohen & Burnett named W. Anthony Arnold vice president of the western region to head up their new office in San Rafael.

Construction

The city of Santa Rosa’s senior building inspector Michael Reynolds was presented with the John Lowe Memorial Award by the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers. Mr. Reynolds has served in the field of code enforcement for 12 years.

Government

Sue Castellucci, housing coordinator at Petaluma’s Community Development Department, received the “Outstanding Contribution by a Government Official” award from the Affordable Housing Management Association of Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii.

Law

Attorneys Thane Schultz and John Corcoran joined Plastiras & Terrizzi, a San Rafael-based law firm.  Mr. Schultz has been practicing law since 2003, with a focus primarily on family law and general civil litigation. Mr. Corcoran, previously a public affairs consultant, worked with the county of Marin to establish the Marin Energy Authority.

Education

Shirlee Zane, Sonoma County supervisor, educator and social worker,  and Christopher Fritzsche, a performing artist, educator and music director, were named SSU Distinguished Alumni.

As CEO for the Council on Aging, Ms. Zane helped raise $3.5 million for a new community kitchen in Sonoma County.

Mr. Fritzsche was a member of classical a cappella ensemble Chanticleer and has taught and performed with the music department and the Sonoma County Choral Society.

Travel & Transportation

Mona Babauta of Santa Rosa CityBus was named to the first Mass Transit Top 40 Under 40 list compiled by the magazine Mass Transit.

Nancy Neimann of TravelWizard.com in San Rafael, a part of travel network Virtuoso, is one of the "Top 25 Agents" selected by Travel Agent magazine.

Wine

Max Porter-Elliott was appointed executive chef at the Mayo Family Winery’s Reserve Room in Sonoma Valley. Mr. Porter-Elliott will oversee menu development, the kitchen and operations at the wine and food pairing tasting room.

Philip Pyrce was named director of sales and marketing for Titus Vineyards in St. Helena. Mr. Pyrce was most recently marketing director for luxury brands at Foster’s Wine Estates.

Robin Laskoski joined Windsor-based Wine Country Shipping and Wine Country Cellars as director of sales and marketing.  Ms. Laskoski was previously in hospitality with the Hyatt Corp. in Hawaii.
