Northwestern Mutual adviser wins $25,000 grant for SAY

SANTA ROSA -- Northwestern Mutual, through its charitable foundation, has honored Santa Rosa-based wealth management adviser Sharon Zimmerman's with its 20th annual "Community Service Award." The award includes a $25,000 grant for Social Advocates for Youth (SAY).

Ms. Zimmerman serves on SAY's board of directors and fundraising committee. The organization is in the midst of an effort to build a 63-bed "Dream Center" in Santa Rosa, which will provide transitional housing for homeless youth.

Milwaukee-based Northwestern Mutual awards 16 of its financial professionals with its Community Service Award every year, providing a grant to each in support of a charitable cause.
