Group formed to help lead North Bay fire rebuilding

Darius Anderson of Kenwood Investments, announced the formation of Rebuild North Bay, a 501c4 organization, today which will focus on the recovery efforts in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake and Solano counties.

The announcement stated, “Given the amount of devastation in the North Bay, it is imperative that these recovery efforts start now and the organization has recruited a number of prominent community leaders that are willing to advocate for the necessary resources that the region needs now and into the future.”

Anderson, a principal in Sonoma Media Investments, which owns The Press Democrat and the North Bay Business Journal among other media outlets, will spearhead this organization in addition to his day to day business. “As a person who has been involved in both the private and public sectors he knows firsthand how difficult this task will be and therefore decided to assemble a diverse team of people to make it successful.”

Rebuild NorthBay’s main goals will be to work closely with both public and private sector leaders to address immediate funding needs, future environmental issues, assessment of recovery efforts, assessment of above ground infrastructure, future legislative reform, and to partner with organizations that are raising funds for those impacted in the various communities. The group released a list of people who it stated have already committed to this effort:

William Silver

Ralph Benson

Dave Graham

Les Perry

Rob Wexler

Richard Idell

Doug Bosco
