Chris Porter has been named general manager of Santa Rosa Plaza, where he will directly oversee daily operations of the mall. It is managed by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group.

A Sacramento native, Porter has more than 10 years of retail and restaurant management experience. He most recently served for four years on the management team at Westfield Galleria in Roseville. Earlier, he worked for five years as general manager for Gordon Biersch at The Galleria, also in Roseville.

His restaurant experience includes roles as general manager at Dos Coyotes Border Cafe and Jack’s Urban Eats.

Porter holds an associate’s degree in fire science from Yuba College.

Julien Fayard has been appointed winemaker at Krupp Brothers in Napa. Described as a vineyard-centric winemaker, Fayard will work with Krupp’s blocks from Stagecoach Vineyard and Krupp Brothers Vineyard.

Fayard trained in Bordeaux, France, working for First Growth Château Lafite-Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte, where he oversaw vineyard management and developed his winemaking skills. After moving to Napa in 2006, he served as director of winemaking at Atelier Melka in St. Helena. After five years, Fayard started his own brand and consulting business and has since established Purlieu, Le Pich, Azur and Empreinte.

Lisa Porter Gilley has joined Rutherford-based Alpha Omega as its director of strategic partnerships.

Porter Gilley will identify, develop and manage partnerships designed to introduce new luxury wine customers to the Baggetts’ three brands: Alpha Omega, Tolosa in Edna Valley, and Perinet in Spain’s Priorat region, which make up the company’s recently formed Alpha Omega Collective.

Porter Gilley most recently served for eight years in a vice president position at Robb Report, where she oversaw the magazine’s private membership club.

Karissa Moreno has joined the Center for Well-Being as executive director, where she will lead the nonprofit’s programs aimed at addressing community health inequities through coalition building, community engagement, direct services and partnerships.

Moreno most recently served as chief operating officer at Clínica Monseñor Oscar A. Romero, a nonprofit organization that provides health care services to underserved communities in Los Angeles. Previously, she was COO for Livingston Community Health, a nonprofit for the underserved in Merced County. Earlier, Moreno served for more than seven years as a clinic manager at Santa Rosa Community Health.

Moreno holds a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Shawna Hettrich has been hired by the Sonoma Valley Unified School District as vice principal and leadership and as activities director at Sonoma Valley High School.

A Petaluma resident, Hettrich recently was activities director with the Novato Unified School District, where she also promoted a GATE clustering model, and led schoolwide teacher training on project-based learning.

Hettrich earned an administrative credential and master’s degree from San Francisco State University, and a bachelor’s degree and teaching credential from Sonoma State University.
