TrustedSite, a San Francisco-based company that under the McAfee Secure brand verifies the security of websites and e-tailers, has inked a deal to relocate to Fairfield, bringing 40 jobs to Solano County.
The 6-year-old firm on May 7 signed a lease for 2,767 square feet at Westside Professional Center, located at 2480 Hilborn Road, according to a May 22 announcement by the property owner, The Wiseman Company. TrustedSite is hiring (www.trustedsite.com/company) for positions ahead of its planned move in July.
TrustedSite was attracted to Fairfield because of the central location, according to Zen Hunter-Ishikawa, Wiseman chief business development officer, who brokered the deal for the 40-year-old commercial property company. TrustedSite will be occupying 10% of the building.
“Technology companies like TrustedSite are seeking Class A office space outside of Silicon Valley and Downtown San Francisco," Hunter-Ishikawa said. "They recognize their employees’ desire for an attractive work/life balance and know that a reduced commute and good quality of life will result in improved retention numbers and increased productivity."
TrustedSite started as PathDefender in 2013, led by alums of McAfee, known for its antivirus software, and Intel. At the helm since the beginning is Tim Dowling, who started the website security business unit at McAfee.
Clients include Ace Hardware, Foot Locker, GameStop, Girl Scouts, National Geographic, Marin County's RH (Restoration Hardware), Tory Burch and Party City.
