Quattrocchi Kwok Architects of Santa Rosa has announced five promotions.

John Dybczak joins the firm’s executive leadership as its fifth principal in the firm’s 32-year history.

With nearly 25 years of education design experience, Dybczak has managed numerous modernization and new construction projects for public schools and community colleges throughout Northern California, including a new school for the San Mateo Union High School District and as project lead for the new Lila Bringhurst Elementary School in Fremont. Dybczak holds the LEED Accredited Professional certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Kevin Chapin has been promoted to associate from project manager. Employed at QKA for his entire 20-year career, Chapin has overseen several large-scale projects that include the Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts new construction and modernization and bond Measure M projects for the Sonoma Valley Unified School District. The firm said he managed the facility master plans for Sonoma Valley, Healdsburg and San Ramon Valley unified school districts. Chapin is certified as a LEED Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Former project architects Eve Eppard, Lyanne Schuster and Avian Soupholphakdy are now project managers.

Eppard joined QKA in 2016 after spending most of her 32-year career in Phoenix. She has managed numerous K-12 and higher education, new construction, modernization and facilities assessment projects, including her latest project, Laurel Dell Elementary School’s renovation and new campus construction, in San Rafael. Eppard holds the LEED Accredited Professional certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

A licensed architect for 25 years, Schuster’s design work includes American Canyon High School in American Canyon, projects for Kentfield School District and Novato Unified School District. Schuster is certified as an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) by the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), an accomplishment currently held by less than 200 of the most qualified designers and planners of school facilities.

Soupholphakdy is currently managing Liberty Union High School District’s Measure U projects, including new construction and modernization at Liberty High School in Brentwood, as well as a new two-story classroom building using QKA’s Folia pre-engineered building for Cupertino High School in Cupertino.

Rick Mossi has been promoted by Exchange Bank to senior vice president of retail delivery, responsible for overseeing its retail branches and merchant services. The announcement stated that Mossi has worked for Santa Rosa-based Exchange Bank for more than 18 years and has been a leader on the retail team.

Mossi was hired by Exchange Bank in 1999 as the branch manager ofPetaluma Main. He was promoted to regional manager overseeing six offices in 2005. In 2012, Rick was promoted to regional sales manager overseeing the expanded nine branch southern region.

Before joining Exchange Bank, Mossi had a 21-year career at Bank of America serving in a variety of retail and lending roles, the announcement stated. Mossi is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.

Rodney Morrow is the new director of sales and marketing at Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa Valley. The resort’s announcement stated that Morrow brings close to 20 years of industry experience and will oversee the marketing program and sales operations for the property, which is home to 100 cottages, suites and residences.

Prior to joining Carneros Resort and Spa, Morrow was the director of sales at Carmel Valley Ranch in Carmel 2015–2018. He first launched his hospitality career at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina. From there, he held his first sales position at the Durham Visitors Bureau, then moved to The Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta 1998–2003.

In 2004, Morrow relocated to California where he worked for the Pinot Blanc Restaurant 2004–2005 in St. Helena then became a sales manager at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma 2005–2006. Morrow has since held leadership positions at properties including The Venetian in Las Vegas, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in San Francisco, and Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa in Henderson, Nevada.

Michael Belluomini has been hired as the Terra Firma Global Partners’ new Marin sales manager and will worked at the firm’s Novato office. Terra Firma Global Partners currently has over 50 real estate sales professionals based out of seven offices in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.

A Realtor since 2006, he was recently a regional manager for a San Francisco-based residential real estate services company.

Prior to entering the real estate business, Belluomini worked in the hospitality industry including the Four Seasons-San Francisco, Four Seasons-Santa Barbara, St. Regis San Francisco and Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. In 2003 he became a member of the professional concierge association Les Clefs d’Or USA (“Gold Keys”). Earlier, he was the concierge and human resources training manager for the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco.

Nancy Birnbaum has been named publisher of the new magazine Sensi Sonoma/North Bay Area edition. She also is a marketing consultant with the agency Russian River PR.

Jonathan R. Kathrein has been hired by law firm Ragghianti Freitas, LLP, in San Rafael. Jonathan specializes in real estate, land use and business transactions.

Emily Kearney, Kandi Cogliandro and Christopher Ortiz are new sales associates in the Sebastopol office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. The three real estate agents will specialize in residential sales in Sonoma County.

Alejandro Garcia has been hired by Rodney Strong Vineyard Estates as winery chef.

Garcia brings more than 20 years of experience cooking at fine dining restaurants and wineries like Davis Estate and J Vineyards to his new role at the Rodney Strong winery in Healdsburg in northernSonoma County.

Jessica Kerns, a banquet bartender at DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country hotel in Rohnert Park, has received Hilton’s 2017 CEO Light & Warmth Award.

In 2017, the firm stated that nearly 1,000 team members from across Hilton’s managed and franchise network from around the world were nominated by their fellow colleagues for demonstrating the Hilton values at work and beyond. The finalists were selected by a committee of representatives from across the company and the 12 winners were chosen by Hilton President and CEO Christopher J. Nassetta.

From an SUV full of donated clothes, to a ballroom full of over $1.5 million in donations, Jessica Kerns volunteered her time and gave her heart to helping thousands of people that were affected by the Sonoma County fires. She worked tirelessly for over a week and changed many lives in the process,” the company stated.

Roni Brown has been elected president of the board for the Sonoma County Court Appointed Special Advocates Program for the Juvenile Court system. Other officers include MaryAnn Wakefield, vice president; Jackie Lebihan, secretary; and Wanda Wright, treasurer.

The Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB) received the Award of Excellence in Promotions for its postfire “All You Need is Local — #GoSoCo” shop-locally campaign at the 38th annual California Association of Local Economic Development Conference. The board partnered with the city of Santa Rosa, the county’s other eight cities and towns, along with 15 chambers of commerce to reach 55,000 shoppers. The campaign had 255,000 impressions on Facebook and ran in six local newspapers via print and digital advertising.
