Newmark Knight Frank hires John C. Vaughan, in Sonoma County to lead winery, vineyard appraisals
Commercial real estate advisory firm Newmark Knight Frank announced that Senior Vice President John C. Vaughan, MAI, will lead its valuation-and-advisory business's vineyard and wineries specialty practice from Santa Rosa.
He is part of the Northern California team, headed by Robby D. Perrino, MAI, CRE, CCIM, senior managing director and market leader. The team now has five offices in the region: Santa Rosa, San Mateo, San Jose, San Francisco and Sacramento.
Vaughan, a specialist in wineries, vineyards and vineyard estates, has over 20 years of experience in the Central Coast and North Coast American viticultural areas (AVAs), which span 11 California counties, according to the announcement. Vaughan will expand his practice throughout the wine regions of California, Pacific Northwest, Great Lakes, Texas and Virginia.
Seven years ago, a team of North Bay agents in a predecessor firm, Cornish & Carey Newmark Knight Frank, formed a wine specialty practice as a wave of generational and ownership transitions was building in Wine Country.
Fast-forward to today, Newmark Knight Frank has been rapidly expanding its valuation and advisory business since the firm's initial public offering late last year, according to real estate information service CoStar.
The valuation and advisory group also added new analysts James Masuda and Joe Gigantino in San Jose and Chris Deline in San Francisco.
