Meet four 2014 Nonprofit Leadership Awards-winners

Welcome to the Business Journal’s special report profiling the first four of 12 recipients of our third annual Nonprofit Leadership Awards for 2014.

This year’s honorees include dedicated nonprofit board members, nonprofit executives and, for the first time, the Student Volunteer of the Year, Sonoma State University Freshman Claudia Sisomphou.

This year’s recipients, selected by the Business Journal editorial staff from more than 40 nominees, were honored last Thursday at an awards luncheon at Sonoma State University. The luncheon was part of the all-day Nonprofit Conference presented by the Journal in collaboration with founding underwriter Pisenti & Brinker LLP and Summit State Bank, Anderson Zeigler Disahroon Gallagher & Gray and the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County.

In the following Business Journal Q&As and eight others to be presented in future issues, one can’t miss the deep passion for doing good. Each of them have impacted the lives of others for the better.
