The American Red Cross of Sonoma and Mendocino Counties launched the “Shelter our Communities Campaign” this month, seeking to purchase, supply and staff 20 trailers to serve as shelters. The Grainger Foundation donated $13,000 for the effort.

The Catholic Charities CYO is now a member of the North Bay Leadership Council.

Seven Petaluma restaurants have agreed to participate in a fundraiser for the elderly sponsored by low-income housing builders, PEP Housing. Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza, Cucina Paradiso, Risibisi Restaurant Wine Bar, La Dolce Vita Wine Lounge, Maguire’s Pub, Beyond the Glory Sports Bar & Grill and Dempsey’s Restaurant & Brewery will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the organization on various dates between July 7 and September 8.
