The Santa Rosa Symphony named to its board of directors Susan Dzieza of Sebastopol, Amanda Haas of Santa Rosa and Diane Tomczak, symphony league representative of Windsor. Long-time board member Henry Hersch was named an emeritus director. Board president is Charles Abbe, vice-president is Eric Rossin, treasurer is Art Matney and secretary is Peggy Elliott.

Banking & Finance

Circle Bank in Novato hired veteran bank industry executive Erick Kostuchek for the newly created position of senior vice president of branch administration and sales. Mr. Kostuchek was most recently vice president of the San Mateo office at First National Bank of Northern California.

The Fairfield/Suisun Chamber of Commerce named Sherry McKillop program director for Leadership Today, its community leadership program. Ms. McKillop is principal and founder of Follow Your Compass, a company specializing in team and leadership development.

President of Axia Architects of Santa Rosa Doug Hilberman became a LEED accredited professional. He joins Karen Pregler as the second partner in the firm to achieve this accomplishment.

Government

Carl Rauscher replaced Christopher Shields as press secretary for Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey.

Health Care

Lori Borchers rejoined Sonoma Eyeworks in Larkfield as a full-time optician. Ms. Borchers has 20 years of optical experience, including outside optical sales.

Hospitality

Lynn Lawrence, formerly with Petaluma travel wholesaler Creative Leisure, joined Dimensions in Travel of Novato as an independent contractor. Ms. Lawrence, who brings Sleep Train and Farmer's Insurance with her as clients, specializes in planning corporate incentive travel and family reunions.

Nonprofit Organizations

Community Housing Sonoma County appointed Mary Basham and Ross Liscum to its board of directors. The organization develops permanent supportive housing for people living with disabilities in Sonoma County.

Wine

Peter Mondavi Sr. of Charles Krug Winery in Napa will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the California State Fair. Local winemaker Zelma Long and Fresno State University viticulture professor Vincent Petrucci will join Mr. Mondavi in receiving awards.

Napa Valley Vintners named as chairs for its 30th fundraiser Beth Novak Milliken, president, and Mary Weber Novak, of Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery in Napa.
