A venture by Telecom Valley entrepreneur and real estate investor Ajaib Bhadare and Matt White, president of Basin Street Properties of Petaluma, the hotel rounds out a three-building mixed-use development started in 2001.
In 2005 a retail building, anchored by a Redwood Credit Union branch, opened at the north side of the triangle-shaped property. A free-standing Applebee’s restaurant opened in July of this year.
This is the first ground-up hotel project for Basin Street Hospitality, a recently formed division of Basin Street. The Hampton brand, part of the Hilton hotel group, was chosen to provide a mix of affordable accommodations for businesspeople and travelers. The next one is a 102-room hotel under construction in Suisun City.
One of the challenges with the Windsor project was the re-alignment of Los Amigos Road.
