Sustainable building design acquisition includes Carmel Software
SAN RAFAEL & SANTA ROSA -- San Rafael-based design software developer Autodesk Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) today announced a big step further into green building with the acquisitions of two North Bay software companies.
Autodesk acquired Green Building Studio, a Santa Rosa company that has garnered excitement among architects for providing solutions for sustainable project site design, and Carmel Software, a 12-year-old San Rafael company that makes mechanical engineering software for heating and cooling systems.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
