NAPA – Online social network Cork'd and winery search engine VinoVisit.com have partnered to offer expanded services to users.
VinoVisit.com allows visitors to search and select winery tours and wine tasting events by location, varietal and other features. The site includes detailed winery profiles, reservation booking, itinerary building, directions and reviews. Cork'd enables users to review and discuss wine, and wine drinkers can interact with one another as well as wineries.
The partnership with will add winery reservation functionality and winery experience reviews to the Cork'd site and leverage VinoVisit's travel planning and itinerary building tools. Additionally, VinoVisit.com will include Cork'd wine reviews.
Rabobank buys Napa Community Bank
NAPA – Capitol Bancorp Limited of Lansing, Mich., is selling Napa Community Bank to Rabobank, a Roseville-based community bank serving mainly the food and agriculture industries in central California. There will be an initial cash consideration of approximately $25 million with other considerations.
Rabobank expects to retain all Napa Community Bank staff, including all senior management, commercial and branch employees. The transaction is expected to be completed sometime in 2010, subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.
