Manufacturing Engineers dinner March 29 to feature national speaker

SME North Bay, the North Bay chapter of SME, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, will be hosting an exciting dinner event on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 6 p.m., at Legends at Bennett Valley Golf Course in Santa Rosa.

Joe LaRussa, SME's director of membership from SME headquarters in Dearborn, Mich., will be the guest speaker.

He wants to meet and hear from SME members as well as others in the local manufacturing community who might have an interest in SME or finding out if SME is right for them.

In addition to updating members with what SME is doing to increase the value of SME membership and announcing new member benefits for 2011, Mr. LaRussa will also be holding an open question and answer session.

Anyone with an interest in manufacturing is invited to attend.

SME North Bay Chapter officers for 2011 include Glenn Mattsson as Chapter Chair. He is also president of Nussivo Engineering Consultants in Santa Rosa. Craig Lewis is chair-elect and is currently chief of production for VenTek International in Petaluma.
