Letter to the Editor: Bauman culinary program

Editor:

We here at Bauman College were disappointed to read the North Bay Business Journal article entitled, SRJC Culinary center on track [March 28, p. 13.]

The article refers to the SRJC when it says: "With the unique distinction of serving as the only professional culinary training program in Sonoma County."  This statement is not factual. Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts, has been providing quality education, in Sonoma, in the Nutrition Sciences and Culinary Arts since 1989.

Our two professional training programs, Natural Chef & Nutrition Consultant (as well as our various community education offerings), feature integrated, conventional and holistic-health techniques that prepare our graduates for work in the field of therapeutic nutrition and the culinary arts.

Our philosophy of holistic nutrition and health and wellness education is non-dogmatic, and teaches an in-depth understanding of biochemical individuality that calls for specific food selection and carefully considered therapeutic nutrients.

You can visit our website at baumancollege.org  for more information.
