SANTA ROSA -- Comerica Bank has hired Jeff Clark, formerly with Wells Fargo, as vice president of commercial banking in an effort to expand the bank’s footprint in the North Bay.

He will be working from a loan production office in Santa Rosa focusing mainly on the wine industry.

Mr. Clark has lived in the North Bay since 1993 and worked with Wells Fargo for 12 years. He will focus on developing and growing banking relationships with middle market businesses, particularly those in the wine industry.  Mr. Clark has managed commercial banking relationships with wineries, distributors and suppliers while at Wells Fargo Bank, Mechanics Bank and Deutsche Financial Services.

“Serving the wine industry in the North Bay is an important niche for Comerica,” said Mike Silva, senior vice president for Comerica and head of the bank’s North Bay operations. “We invest a lot of time in understanding the unique needs of each client. Jeff Clark’s knowledge and experience in this industry will help us bring even better service to our clients.”

The loan production office is located at 703 Second St. in Suite 414 in Santa Rosa. Initially Mr. Clark will be the only employee, though there are plans in the works of further expansion into the North Bay, including bank branches down the line.

Prior to joining Dallas-based Comerica, Mr. Clark served as senior vice president and regional private banking manager for Wells Fargo in their Santa Rosa Wealth Management office.  His team provided high net worth families with banking, trust, insurance and investment services in Northern California.

Clark studied business administration at the University of Phoenix San Jose campus.  He has made presentations to the Wine Industry Symposium, Unified Wine and Grape Symposium, California Society of CPAs and the Washington State Wine Institute.

He is the past chairman of the financial oversight committee for the Napa County Measure A Flood Bond, past Chairman of the North Bay Leukemia Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk and the St. Helena Seismic Retrofit Committee.

He lives in Cloverdale.
