Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market cancelled due to rain

SANTA ROSA -- The downtown Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market will be canceled today because organizers don't foresee rain letting up by the time the market opens this evening.

"The market board was hoping the rain would would subside but decided to cancel this week’s market after weather reports signaled the late-in-the-season, winter-like weather could continue for the remainder of the day," the organization said this morning in a statement.

Market organizers plan for the market to resume next Wednesday, June 1. Ellington Hall is scheduled for the main stage, and another series of wineries are set to be pouring their creations in the Wine Tasting Garden.

The market would like to thank all of its great vendors, sponsors, entertainers, and volunteers ahead of time for their understanding.
