Myers Restaurant Supply expands to East Coast

SANTA ROSA -- Myers Restaurant Supply, LLC, is expanding to the East Coast, where the Santa Rosa-based company plans to focus primarily on the New York tri-state area.

The company (myersrestaurantsupply.com) will open a Myer's Restaurant Supply--East office in Marlton, N.J., to serve all the Eastern seaboard but with a "heavy concentration" on the New York City metropolitan area.

“We feel very good about the timing of this strategic move, the economy is improving, and our industry landscape is changing," Charlie Fusari, chief executive officer, said in a statement. "We are well-positioned for continued growth well into the future."

The New Jersey location will be headed up by industry veterans John Ognibene and Shawn Kelly. Myers targets chain and multilocation restaurants, as well as contract projects. Mr. Ognibene will focus on large-scale projects, and Mr. Kelly will focus on developing relationships and project execution.

"This will be a smooth and seamless transition that will allow us to utilize our strengths as we expand into the East Coast market with an immediate plan to build our business with high-end, independent, chain and multiunit restaurants along with other large food service operators," Rob Myers, president of the company, said in a statement.

Founded in 1951, the company employs 45 people. Earlier this year, it opened a sales office in Costa Mesa in an expansion to Southern California. It also operates a 25,000-square-foot showroom in Santa Rosa.
