Best Places to Work 2014: Bank of Napa

NAPA -- "What makes Bank of Napa a best place to work is the focus we maintain on our customers, employees and shareholders," according to President and CEO Tom LeMasters. "We have a team approach, which is a win-win for everyone."

An employee said, "Everyone gives 100 percent and co-workers are always finding ways to go above and beyond to wow the customer. We have very strong leadership with excellent experience in the banking world."

Access to senior management, and employees' ability to provide input when changes are needed, are positive factors that rank high among Bank of Napa employees.

"No one gets push-back if they need time off for a family issue or event. I just started a month ago and had no problem getting a day off to take my daughter to the airport," a grateful employee said.

Staff members support each other when needed during happy or sad occasions.

The cohesive culture is reinforced with barbecues, free Starbucks coffee from time to time and a Christmas party.

Employees are involved in the community with Soroptimist, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, baseball leagues, an emergency women's shelter and other nonprofits.

"Everyone is kind and helpful. Our work environment welcomes the whole family, children and pets. We offer goodies to customers and even have doggie treats available," another staff member said.
