Best Places to Work 2014: Vionic Group, LLC

SAN RAFAEL -- Vionic offers customers breakthrough Orthaheel podiatric technology built into life-changing footwear.

"Our culture is moving away from, 'I did that or they did that,'" Chief Operating Officer C. Bruce Campbell said, "to 'We did that,' or, 'How can we do this differently and better?'"

Mr. Campbell said, "We increased our North Bay head count from 51 to 69 to accommodate corporate growth. In May we expanded to two floors to give employees more elbow room and to gain sufficient space to collaborate and focus."

The company benefits package covers 100 percent of health, life and LTD premiums, with an increased life insurance policy to $50,000, and up to a 40 percent contribution toward dependent medical coverage.

There is an employee referral program with potential to earn a $1,000 bonus when a candidate is hired. Gym or other health endeavor initiation fees are reimbursed, and all employees are eligible for an annual bonus.

"Everyone tries hard to pull in the same direction. From senior management to part-time employees, we all have a passion for what we do and are committed to a caring mission of helping our customers."

Company-sponsored events include a summer barbecue, an annual awards dinner and regular meet-and-greet mixers to welcome new employees and celebrate birthdays. There are San Rafael Pacific's baseball game nights and a Halloween department decoration challenge with prizes.
