Notable Quote: “I’ve gotten and continue to get good direction and input from lots of people, including managers, colleagues, employees, teachers, friends, family, etc. What all of them have in common is an ability to listen, ask probing questions, and suggest other ways to think about an issue without judgment.”

Other things about me...

How do you think your profession will change in the next five years?

Well, hopefully in the next five years cannabis will become legal on a federal level! That would mean that we could do things like reliably access banking services, deduct normal business expenses, conduct IRB-approved clinical trial… and not worry about being arrested and tossed in a federal prison. That would be awesome. We could be like other businesses.

What would parents or significant others say if asked to brag about you?

My mother likes to refer to me as “my daughter, the drug dealer” but secretly she’s proud…. especially when I told her I was going to be honored by the North Bay Business Journal. You actually made her and my dad’s day.

Quick Takes?

Most want to meet:

Right at this moment, I’d most like to meet our members of Congress and the Senate and have a little talk about why it’s high time they ended the prohibition against cannabis. There have been way too many casualties of the drug war. It’s time it ended.

Stress relievers:

Chocolate, movie nights with friends.
